Applying for Scholarship

Though we have tried to keep the costs of our classes as low as possible, we realize that their cost is still out of reach of some budgets. Each year we offer a few scholarships to in-need students.

If you are interested in receiving a full or partial scholarship to one of our classes, please complete the Backyard Abundance Scholarship Application. We accept applications on an ongoing basis. Applications are reviewed by committee.

We ask that all scholarship recipients commit to 10 hours of permaculture-related community work in exchange for their scholarship.

Funding a Scholarship

Currently, all of our scholarships are made possible through very generous donations from members in our community. If you would like to help an in-need student attend a Backyard Abundance class, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Backyard Abundance Scholarship Fund.

Weekend classes typically cost $125 or $145, but any amount is welcome.

Please indicate on the donation form or in the secure area of PayPal that your donation should go toward scholarships.
