Apr 13, 2022, 5:55 PM – 7:30 PM

Edible Classroom, 400-450 E Burlington St, Iowa City, IA 52240, USA

About the Event

Do you have fond memories of gardening with a kind parent, a loving grandparent, a wise aunt or a cheerful neighbor? Would you like to visit those cherished memories and bring back simplicity and calmness into this rushed and confusing time? How might a new or existing garden capture and reflect those memories so each visit literally grounds you? How can you pass along those precious experiences to family and friends?

During this series, we will explore how to nurture relationships with friends and family through the hands-on design, establishment and management of beautiful gardens.

Organic methods will be learned; no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers will be discussed.

Classes in this series happen Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

  • Apr 13: Plan a Memorable Family Garden - Plan and design gardens that yield a lifetime of memories.
  • May 4: Grow Memories Together - Cultivate deep and lasting friendships in the garden.
  • Jul 13: Irresistible Plant Tricks - Discover the real reason you are obsessed with that plant.
  • Oct 12: Nurture Seeds and Soil - Prepare your garden and yourself for a rejuvenating winter rest.

You are invited no matter your level of gardening experience. All are welcome.

Yummy snacks generously provided by New Pioneer Co-op.
