About the Event
Join Backyard Abundance, certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Emelia Sautter, and Iowa City Yogini Mandy Dickerson for a restorative evening connecting with nature at Hickory Hill. Give yourself this time to slow down, become more present with self, and immerse in the vibrance of Summer.
Forest Therapy is a guided immersion in natural environments that promotes the well-being of people and the land. Research shows these numerous therapeutic benefits:
• Reduces stress, anxiety, depression, anger and pain.
• Improves cognitive functioning, sleep, mood and creativity
• Boosts the immune system, regulates blood pressure, improves relationships and increases feelings of gratitude.
Yoga is a method for tuning in to how our bodies experience and direct flows of energy. This long-standing and widely accepted wellness practice offers a path to:
• longer, rhythmic breath
• release of accumulated physical and mental/emotional tensions that drive stress
• boosted longevity via safe levels of physical and mental challenge.
