**CANCELLED-Extreme Heat** Summer Solstice Forage and Wildcraft
Take a walk and learn about harvesting food and medicine from what's growing in your bioregion.
Time & Location
Jun 21, 2022, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Rd SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403, USA
About the Event
Fun activities will help us explore trails and rediscover what our modern minds may have forgotten about our plant relatives. Taste a wild snack, and collect recipes for preparing your harvests. Summer is a great time to identify plants with their full flowers and rich green supporting leaves. We will gather some flowers together and create ephemeral designs on the Earth, to hold space for Nature’s gifts and your inspired thoughts.
Bring a water bottle and tool of choice for harvesting a handful of herbs. Email us if mobility accommodations may be needed, as we may cover a good bit of ground during the class.
