About the Event
Learn to properly prune fruit trees and berry bushes to maximize yields, promote health, minimize diseases, and thwart pests.
Join the increasing number of people successfully growing fruit in our area. Through hands-on practice you will learn how to prune fruit trees and berry bushes. Proper tools and top techniques will be shared along with relevant handouts.
THINGS TO BRING
- Warm clothes for winter, hands-on learning: hat, gloves, boots, several layers of clothes
- Pruning saw, loppers, pruners (optional)
- A notebook and a pen/pencil for writing and drawing (optional)
REGISTRATION
Sliding scale fee: $25 - $5, based upon your access to resources.

EDUCATOR
Taught by Fred Meyer. Fred offers years of experience as a permaculture designer, Master Gardener and fruit tree grower.
LOCATION
Wetherby Park: 2400 Taylor Dr, Iowa City. We’ll gather at the Wetherby Park Shelter.
