Small Group Coaching

Grow Together with Nature-Based Coaching

Support a small cohort with guided reflection and outdoor practices that ease stress and build resilience.

Small Group Coaching is a nature-based series for 5–12 people who need more than a one-time class. It offers a steady space to exhale, reflect, and build small practices that protect their energy.

Good fit when your group wants:

  • Ongoing Support: Offer staff, volunteers, or members care that lasts longer than a single event.

  • Calmer Caregivers: Support people in helping roles who feel stretched thin or burned out.

  • Deeper Trust: Build a cohort that can talk honestly about stress, hope, and next steps.

  • Gentle Structure: Provide guidance and tools without a rigid, clinical feel.

What Your Group Experiences

Each session follows a gentle, predictable rhythm: a brief arrival practice, a simple nature-based invitation, and a coaching-style conversation about what matters most that day.

Your group will:

  1. Arrive: Shift from busy mode to “here and now” with a short grounding practice.

  2. Notice: Spend a few minutes with natural elements, using the senses to settle the nervous system.

  3. Reflect: Explore guided questions about stress, values, boundaries, and what brings them alive.

  4. Choose Actions: Name one small, realistic step to carry into the week ahead.

Over time, the group develops shared language, simple rituals, and trust that make the space feel safe and nourishing.

Settings

  • Outdoor Spaces: Quiet spots at parks, campuses, gardens, courtyards, and residences.

  • Indoor Options: Classrooms, community rooms, or gyms with nature brought inside.

  • Weather-Smart Design: Always includes a backup plan so sessions stay engaging, even if we must be indoors.

Evidence-Informed Approach

Our coaching follows national health and wellness coaching standards and well-being research. It is structured, but still very human.

Our coaching blends:

  • Nature-Based Mindfulness: Simple, present-moment practices that calm the nervous system and build self-awareness.

  • Strengths-Focused Coaching: Reflections that help people notice strengths, values, and inner resources, then use them in daily life.

  • Gentle Behavior Tools: Small, self-chosen actions between sessions that support sustainable, realistic change.

  • Horticultural Therapy Principles: Seeing each person as more than their stress or role and as an interactive part of their environment.

We stay within a coaching scope of practice. This is not clinical diagnosis or therapy; it complements existing wellness, spiritual care, or mental health supports.

What Participants Take Home

As the series unfolds, participants build confidence through small, steady changes.

Participants typically:

  • Build a Toolkit: Simple nature-based practices used between sessions and on hard days.

  • Name Needs: Clearer language for what they need and how to ask for it.

  • Feel Less Alone: A shared sense of humanity around stress, grief, and change.

  • Carry it Back: New rituals and ideas they bring into work, home, and community roles.

Class topics can be integrated and customized to meet the needs of your group.
