Time & Location

Aug 10, 2023, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Kardos Sensory Garden, 307 Morningside Dr, Iowa City, IA

About the Event

Grounding our bodies in our senses can bring us feelings of pleasure and regulate our nervous systems and stress levels. Come touch, smell, see and taste plants that grow easily in Iowa, that will make you smile, and can help you feel calmer.

We will learn hands-on how to grow and integrate plants to improve our state of mind and nourish our bodies. We will learn to establish a small raised bed and container sensory garden you can easily recreate at home with inexpensive, local materials.

This class is part of the Butterfly Effect Experience, hosted by the LENA Project and Oaknoll, which aims to help everyone learn about our native pollinators and actions you can help to protect them.
