About the Event

Which plants must grow in your yard? Do you often encounter a plant that, for some unexplainable reason, makes you always pause and ponder it for a while?

In The Botany of Desire, Michael Pollan describes how the allure of certain plants causes us to fall in love with them. During this class, we will learn the physical and magical ways plants entice us to help them thrive. We will take this knowing into our gardens and parks to understand how we can better care for our plant friends, but more importantly, how they can care for us.

You are invited no matter your level of gardening experience. All are welcome.

Yummy snacks generously provided by New Pioneer Co-op.

CAN YOU LEAVE A LITTLE EARLY?

We realize the class may be a little late in the day.  The first hour covers core concepts and the last half hour is hands-on practice. Please feel free to leave after the first hour if you need to get home.
