Welcome to the most magical curbside plant sale in all of Iowa!

Visit an enchanted Iowa City landscape on a spring Saturday morning and discover a world of botanical wonders waiting to be taken home by gardeners of all levels.

Vibrant vegetables, herbs and flowers are looking for their forever homes and they're eager to share their unique personalities with you.

And the best part? You can take home as many as you like with just a free will donation.

PLANT DONATIONS

Are you a gardener with an abundance of plants in your garden or greenhouse? Help us grow this community event by making a plant donation. We warmly welcome and need seedlings and propagated plants of any variety.

Your contributions will be greatly appreciated and carefully looked after until they find a new home. Plus, you'll be supporting a community-based event that celebrates the spirit of sharing.

It's easy to donate - simply drop off your plants in the driveway anytime leading up to the sale. Don't forget to label them clearly with the name and variety of the plant.

By purchasing these plants, you'll also support a fantastic cause. All proceeds from the sale go to Backyard Abundance, an Iowa City-based environmental education nonprofit that works to ensure our community stays green and healthy for years to come.

But that's not all. As you browse plant selections, you'll be surrounded by a stunning landscape filled with blooming flowers and edible plants of all types. And if you want to get up close and personal with the garden, tours of the landscape will be available from experienced green thumbs.

The tour will take you on a journey through an enchanted garden, where you'll see firsthand how swaths of turfgrass have been transformed into a vibrant pollinator and foraging paradise. You'll learn about many different plants and how they've been selected and placed so they contribute to a healthy ecosystem.
